"My GGGmother was Easter Lucinda Jarman married to William Butler Treadaway of Anson County NC. One of their daughters was Easter Lucinda Treadaway Strawn. My mother is named after them, because my grandmother Iva Eletha Strawn Bowden thought Easter was a beautiful name. I have enjoyed viewing the Jarman genealogy family site. Donna"

To:I believe we have e-mailed each other before, but it has been a while. I just viewed
your Jarman web site - great job and obviously, lots of work.
Recently, I was able to find a relative that was definitely able to connect the Jarmans,
Treadaways of Anson County, NC. The relative is my cousin raised in Anson/Union
County, a retired college professor, and has most of the family information I've been
seeking in her family bible give to her by her mother.
My great, great grandmother was Easter (not Ester/Esther) Jarman. She was married to
William Butler Treadaway b. May 3, 1827 d. April 6, 1915. I visited the
Treadaway/Strawn cemetary at Hamilton Crossroads/Marshville/Anson County recently
and wrote and etched information off the tombstones. Unfortunately, Easter Jarman
Treadaway's tombstone was broken and unreadable. Their daughter Easter "Lou"
(Treadaway b. Mar 3, 1866 d. Jan 13, 1945) was my ggrandmother married to George
Wesley Strawn b. Mar 18, 1866, d. Feb 23, 1948. One of their children was Iva Eleatha
Strawn, my grandmother, who was married to Jesse Thomas Bowden. My mother was
named after my great grandmother. Anyway, you asked me some time ago if I had
proof that Easter Jarman was married to W. B. Treadaway and long story short....Yes!
Thanks, Donna

Your German-Jarman Website looks great and I am so impressed!I was hoping you could correct my greatgrandfather's name at your site. You and and I are related through Easter Lucinda Jarman Treadaway who was married to William Butler Treadaway. One of their daughter's Easter Lucinda "Lou" Treadaway was married to George Wesley Strawn, not George Washington Strawn as reported by Gerald Helms.
John German is a good name; the Atlanta John German was also a good person.

Birth surnames were derived from the father's surname. If the
father's name was not listed, the married surname was used in
the Birth Surname field. Approximate Age is derived by
subtracting year of birth from year of death when these are
given. Mother's and Father's birthplace have been added to
records after 1960.Many thanks to Warren Meadows Funeral Home for making these

BIRTH-DEATH-MARRIAGE-CHILD: I very much appreciated your Gedcom files,
as it nicely into my wife's tree, adding several generations. I can also
give you some information about Leonides Spartan Jarman (spelled wrong
in the Gedcom file), the son of John Jarman and Martha Koonce. He was
born 9/23/1840, in Collierville, Tennessee, and died there in 1874. He
married Angeline E. Young (also of Collierville, and whom there is much
more info at John Young's website) on 7/18/1868, and they had one girl,
Martha Farley Jarman, on 1/1/1872, my wife's ggm. I have more info if
you wish. I would like to know if you have places to go with the dates
associated with the John Jarman line. Thank you for your assistance,
past and future. Mark A. Nitikman [email received from
anonymous@ix.netcom.com, 20 Dec 1997].
